Our Guest - Lean de Ruiter

Hi, I am Lean de Ruiter from the Netherlands living in a small village close to Belgium. I live there with my friend Ron our dog & two cats.

I starded scrapbooking in 2005 and march this year i started blogging - > www.scrapselsfromlean.blogspot.com .
I love creating layouts and mini albums using many different textures and techniques.

Our Guest - Karryn Lawson

Hi, I'm Kerryn. I live in sunny Australia with my husband of almost 10 years and our 2 children (well 3 including our puppy dog).

I am currently a stay at home mum but will possibly be returning to part time work next year. In the meantime I volunteer at my daughters school and son's kindergarten.

I started scrapbooking a little over 2 years ago. My husband gave me a scrapbooking kit for a birthday present to use with photos of our first family holiday. It took me a couple of months to get up the nerve to open it and then another couple of months before I even cut some paper LOL. I was terrified. Once I got up the nerve though I quickly outgrew the kit embellishments and went searching for more. Once I discovered the online world of scrapbooking I was well and truly hooked.

It is very rare for a day to go by without me being involved in scrapbooking in some way. It might be sketching some ideas, playing with new products or just chatting on forums - but there is always something happening.

I find my scrapbooking is hard to pigeon hole into a particular catergory. I love brights, I love neutrals, I love vintage. I love dimension and texture and I love simply embellished structured layouts. I basically go with how I'm feeling on that particular day. It all depends on my photo and the papers I choose to use.

I do love to distress though! I pull out my trusty Heidi Swapp edge distresser for most of my layouts. It's also a bit of an in joke with some of my scrapping buddies that I like butterflies, a lot! They tend to make it onto a good proportion of my layouts. You can see some of these on my blog, www.kerrynlawson.blogspot.com

I'd like to say thank you to Kristine for having me to play along with this sketch. I loved using this sketch and hope you enjoy using it too.

Our Guest - Sandie Vincent

Hi my name is Sandie Vincent, I'm from the UK and I'm married with 3 children aged 15, 11 and 5. I've been scrapbooking since July 2005, when a friend convinced me to go to a class and "have a go". I'd been making cards for 4 years, and was adamant I wasn't going to get hooked on anything else. Well to cut a long story short, I hardly make cards now and have a real passion for my hobby. I consider myself incredibly lucky as I now teach scrapbooking at a local craft store and at a craft club too, I design for US kit club My Creative Scrapbook aswell, so I always have a project or two on the go.

Thank you to Creative Scrappers for having me here as a Guest Designer, I will be a regular visitor here checking out the amazing sketches.

Jing Jing Nickel

I am Jing-Jing Nickel. Pronounce it like there are nickels in your pocket making that jingling noise! *laugh* - I was born and raised in Shanghai, China. My teenage years were spent in Dakar, Senegal, a West African nation. I went to college in Minnesota and hold a graduate degree in mathematics from the University of Arizona. Now I work full time in the Twin Cities, MN, as an I.T. engineer.

When I started scrapbooking in 1999, it was the most perfect extension of my love for traveling and travel photography. Then with the birth of my first daughter, a new dimension of scrapbooking as well as a new realm of creative possibilities was born with her. Today and every day, I scrap my family, my trips, and my family on trips. After nine years of scrapbooking, I finally began submitting to publications in June 2008. I was honored to be named one of the runners-up to the Memory Makers Master 2009 Contest. I have publications in Memory Makers, Scrapbook Trends, Scrapbooking and Beyond, Cards, and Creating Keepsakes.
