Creative Scrappers: 03/2011

Hello! My name is Amélie and I live in Rimouski, Quebec. I 've been married for 8 years and we have a little girl named Clara, 10 months old ! She is my principal source of inspiration! I've been scrapbooking for the past 7 years and it's my true passion! I don't know know how to describe my own scrapbook style but I like to try different things, but I guess my favorite is "Clustering"!

I love Basic Grey papers and I am also an avid fan of the Prima flowers! I usually create12X12 pages and the occasional mini album. Scrapbooking is an opportunity for me to get some quiet time even if time is missing when you are mom of a young child! But my scrapbooks will leave a beautiful heritage to my daughter!

A few years ago, I discovered a new passion... photography,. in which compliments my scrapooking!!

Ana Castro

Hi! I'm Ana Castro from Brazil. I live in a city localized in an Island in the south of Brazil, called Florianópolis. I'm clinical engineer and I have a company that manages medical equipment for hospitals. I am married to my husband Rafael and am mom to my 5 year old son Daniel, who is the subject of most of my scrapbook pages!

I began scrapping in January 2009, mostly creating 12x12 layouts and some altered items. I’ve started by accident while looking for a gift for my niece. It was love at first sight, and I've couldn't stop! At begginning I used spent hours looking at magazines and blogs, just watching and learning every details from some page. The idea to preserve memories are the most important thing of scrapbooking to me.

Nowadays, the scrap occupies a very special place in my life and it brought more creativity to my daily routine. I feel that my vision of the world took another look and new colors. I love (sometimes obsessively!!) new collections and new materials. My favorite techniques are distressing, stitching and adding dimension to my pages. I'm not sure how to define my style because I like to try new things every time. I think my style is clean and whimsical. Boy’s pages are my passion because I have a cute (and funny) model at home and a lot of pictures to use, after all, my pages are dedicated to my son and my family. I think my pages are funny and colorful. I find inspiration in my life and outdoor.

Carla Tarabus

Hello! My name is Carla Tarabus and I live in the SW Chicago Suburbs. I’ve been married for 12 years and I have two beautiful children. My daughter, Kendall, is 8 and my son, Aydan, is 5.
I worked full time as a Radiology Clinical Instructor and Radiographer at a large University Chicago Hospital for almost 20 years. Just a month ago I switched positions in my department to imaging informatics and I love it! Scrapbooking is my outlet therapy and is definitely a part of my daily life whether it’s browsing websites/blogs, shopping, chatting with my crafty friends, or actually scrapping. Even though I’m a busy, working mom, I do make time to pursue my hobby.

I stated scrapbooking in 2003 after the birth of my daughter. I think my look is clean lined with bright colors but I do admire all the artsy styles as well. I’ve made some wonderful lifetime friends through this craft and it has been definitely one of the biggest perks.

Caroline Parent

My name is Caroline and I’m from Quebec, Canada. Seven years ago I decided to be a stay at home mom…but I wasn’t fully happy … so I started my own scrapbook store four years ago. I’ve been scrapbooking for 5 years and it has become my big passion. I’m happy to have the opportunity to combine my work to my hobby.

I find my inspiration in many ways, it can be a picture, a color, a texture, every single thing can be a source of creativity. My favourite scrap subjects are my two wonderful sons, of course! I love to fix memories of them.

Since as long as I can remember, I’ve always been a creative person. I like to use mediums, glimmers and paints. I’m a new release products addict but I try really hard to cure myself hahaha! It’s an honour for me to be a part of this Creative Team!

My name is Christiane Mueller.
I'm living in Northern Germany near the Danish border not far away from the Baltic Sea. By day I'm nurse and working part time in a hospital. By night I'm a hooked scrapper!! For five years now it's my passion. The reason why I do scrapbooking is to capture our lifes history for my children and that's important for me.

Hey there I'm Elizabeth. We're a military family who lives in WA. Dayv is the one who serves and I work on the base at Starbucks {love my job!!!} as a foreman. We've got a beautiful blessing Alyssa and two dogs Jake and Kira. My family is SO important to me! Each of them are an inspiration and a blessing to me daily!

I have been scrapping for over 10 years now and started actually at the encouragement from Dayv who doesn't have very many childhood photos. We sat down together and order from a really cheesy catalog supplies to get me started on creating memories for our family. That was over 10 years ago! Who knew that I'd be knee-deep in it after all these years? I love this hobby just like the very day I received that first package!

I am excited to be a part of the Creative-Scrappers design team!

Jenny Linden

My name is Jenny Linden (also known as Nenne) and I live in a small house in Stockholm, Sweden with my husband and our three children, two boys and a girl. I work part time as a medical secretary at a Ob & GYN clinic, I love my work but it’s not very creative! So to balance my life I have always been creative in one way or the other – sewing, drawing, painting, jewellery making and early 2009 I started scrapbooking and haven’t looked back since! In this hobby I’ve found I can combine all of my creative interests into one!

I don’t know how to label my style but I do know this: I love colors, I {heart} the red+blue combo! I love misting, stamping, painting and getting messy! I adore the shabby chic style and give it a try every now and then! I love gems, pearls and pretty bling! I’m addicted to chipboard alphas and mini sticker alphas! I love vintage ephemera!

I scrapbook for the creative process and the memory keeping, I try to hand write my journaling on my layouts because even though I don’t like my handwriting I’m pretty sure my children (and their families) will appreciate it in the future. I also love making cards, alters and mini albums.

I’ve had the honor to have been published both in e-zines and a Swedish crafty magazine and I’m on two Swedish inspirational blogs and an online scrapbook store and I’m so happy to now be on the design team for Creative scrappers – can’t wait to get scrappy with you!

Jody Rogers

My name is Jody and I live in Alberta with my wonderful husband, our 18 month old son, and our two furry four legged kids. I work full time shift work for the government, however I do design layouts and cards classes, teaching them at my local fabulous scrapbooking store. I fill the rest of my free time playing with my little guy, baking, cooking, sewing and of course – scrapbooking – which usually leads me into the late hours!

I started scrapbooking approximately 10 years ago when my sister had a home scrapbooking party. I bought the entire kit and have been addicted ever since! I enjoy browsing numerous scrapbooking blogs and websites, getting inspiration from all new products, color and designs created and used by the numerous talented ladies in the industry. I don’t have a favourite type of product or line as I like using all types of ribbon, fabric, buttons, mediums and patterned paper on my layouts and cards.

I am truly honoured to be a part of the Creative Scrappers Design Team – they have been one of my “go to” blogs for a very long time – making me super jump for joy ecstatic about being part of the team!

HI my name is Kim Jeffress and I hail from beautiful Brisbane Australia. I started my creative journey into scrapbooking about 8 years ago...and like to scrap the good and the not so good aspects of my two young and very active boy's lives.

Mahlin Wiggur

My name is Mahlin and I live in a beautiful house here in Sweden.
I´m working as a special ed´s teacher for kids with autism and Aspergers syndrome and then I go home to my wonderful husband, 2 year old son Vilmer and our Siamese cat Andy.

I´ve been scrapbooking for about 3 years now, but I´ve been crafting since the first day I got my hands on a pair of scissors. When I create I use a lot of bright vivid colors. I combine them with lots of pattern. One might say I´m somewhat addicted to color =) . I also work with a lot of detail on my layouts and you´ll often find clusters of embellies on my projects. I´m always on the look out for new exciting embellies to create with and I have a huge stash of vintage ephemera to dive in to. I also have a huge crush on sketches. A great sketch always kick starts my creativity and that is why being on this team always has been a dream of mine!

When I scrap I do it as art, and mostly just for myself, as therapy and for the creative process. I feel good when I create. The memory keeping is a huge bonus but not my main goal, that´s why you won´t find so much journaling on my pages. I just scribble down a few words on the back.

My name is Mette and I´m 43 years young.
I live in Västerås in Sweden with my DH and our son Adam - age 16. Our two daughters have moved away from home... Mye is the oldest one and she is 22 years. She lives in Belfast on Nothern Ireland with her boyfriend. Then it´s Emma and she is 20 years. She lives here in Västerås with her boyfriend. I work nights on the Intensive Care Unit on the hospital her in Västerås.

On my freetime I scrap! I discovered scrapbooking about 4 years ago and loved it from moment one. This hobby really gives me all that I love, and when I sit down in my scrappycorner I go into my own little world! :) I´m so honoured to be a part of the DT here at Creative Scrappers, and I can´t wait to start working with the amazing sketches and inspire you all!

Mija Comstad

I'm Mija from Sweden. Scrapbooking is a big part of my life - except my family consisting of a husband, three teenage daughters, two poodlegirls plus an amazing cat. We live in Halmstad in the south of Sweden. 2006, I started to scrap. It was Christmas- and various greeting cards that caught my interest. Then it went on to play with photos. I bought a good camera (Olympus) and it got even funnier. I've been DT-member for different shops in Sweden and the and some international inspiration-blogs. Right now, I like making my own decorations out of paper. Color combinations and nuances are very important to me and I can look for hours until I find the right shade on paper or decorations.

Creative Scrappers is a fantastic source of inspiration, I get a kick every time I visit this place. I was really surprised, happy, and proud by the mail which told me that I will be part of this fabulous DT for the next few months. Thanks Kristine for giving me this opportunity!

Hi, my name is Natalia. I live in Moscow, Russia, with my husband and gorgeous girl (Mary aged 4), who inspires me most of all.

I started scrapbooking in August 2008 and haven’t looked back.
I just love the whole process of scrapbooking. The story telling, the pretty papers, getting messy fingers with paints and inks, incorporating a lot of everyday memorabilia into my work, preserving our family memories and meeting such wonderful scrap buddies along the way.

Hello! I am Pam and am a stay-at-home-Mom to 2 crazy, fun, and adorable kiddos...Aislynn, age 5 1/2 and Kieran, age 20 months. I live in the panhandle of Florida and am lucky enough to live in walking distance to the beautiful beaches here.

When I'm not chasing after my loves, I can be found scrapbooking, baking, or attempting a sewing project. I have been scrapbooking for 5 1/2 years and have met so many lovely ladies through this hobby. I am super excited to be on the Creative Scrappers team!

I am a Northern girl living in the South...that takes some getting used to, but I'm not going to complain about being able wear flip flops in March! I am a stay at home mom and I am very thankful to be. I have two crazy, yet loveable kiddos - Patrick and Mackenzie, they are such a big inspiration, they make me laugh on a daily basis, and help me grow too....and two dogs Cinna and Meg (Rescued Rhodesian Ridgebacks)....one of which who thinks she's a little person trapped in a dog body....they all keep the house colorful, loud and busy....it gives me ample opportunity to scrap everyday things more-so than occasions and events.

I have a wonderful husband who loves me despite my whining, quirks and dorky obsession with watching King of the Hill, chips and salsa, baking and battling my caffeine addiction to Coke products! If I'm not scrapbooking, you can find me reading, listening to music and being a total nerdy fan-girl, baking, volunteering at my kiddo's school or walking to support my love of baking!!! :)

My name is Yuko Tanaka and I live in Japan.
I live with my husband and two lovely cats. After I got married in 2006, I started sorted our wedding photos and organizing
so that I could start “scrapbooking” in 2007. At this time my husband and I don't have children but we often travel and take photos of beautiful scenery. These photos often end up in my scrapbook pages.
