Celebrate You | by Jinny Newlin

Morning, y'all!  It's Jinny here today with my take on February's Sketch #303.  I tapped into my January "Jameson" Citrus Twist Kit to bring this one to life.
I started this page by anchoring a number of colorful prints, in messy, horizontal lines, with white-threaded, straight and zig-zag, machine stitching.  I then splattered over everything with Purple Lilac, Pure Black, and Titanium White acrylic paints.  Once everything was dry, and my photos were matted with white cardstock and adhered as you see here, I tucked a little, woodgrain tag, laced with blue twine, tied in a bow, under the bottom photo's left side.  The tag itself was then topped with my "CELEBRATE you!" title, which was created from puffy, alphabet stickers and a Cameo-cut, from Almost Amethyst cardstock, and glittered "you!"
The center photo was backed with a bit of vellum for softness and texture, as well as a die-cut, floral Polaroid.  An "a bit of magic" die cut was tucked under its bottom left corner.
The top photo was sandwiched between a "1" ticket, which was stapled to its top corner, on the left...
and both hand-cut and die-cut pennants on the right.
I used all the triangles and flags, from the die-cut package that came with my "Jameson" Scrapbook Kit, to create the banner.  Each die-cut was popped up with foam tape; and little, white, string bows anchor either end.
A trio of die-cut, from Brilliant Blue, Daffodil Delight, and Pool Party cardstocks, balloons embellish the right center of the design.  I also tucked a cut-apart, Emporia, KS Jan. 31, '15, label in between the balloons.  Each balloon was given lots of shine with Glossy Accents and tied, with white string...
to a stamped in Jet Black ink, watercolored, and hand-cut elephant.  The elephant itself was popped up with more foam tape and backed with another colorful Polaroid, a hand-cut clothespin, and a tangle of white thread.  A scattering of iridescent and blue sequins completes the look.
Here's your February Sketch #303, once again, to get you off and scrapping in the right direction.
Don't forget to share your pages, on Facebook, Instagram, and/or Pinterest, with the tag #CreatingWithSketches.  We'd also love for you to add them to the inlinkz found at the challenge link above.  Thanks, as always, for humbling us with a visit, Creative Scrappers friends!  XOXO
