Morning, y'all! It's Jinny here today with my take on Sketch #305. As you may know, The Cut Shoppe
is our sponsor for this month; and the team was blessed to get to use a
few fabulous cut files of our choosing. I tapped into the potential
behind Let's Talk Summer and Flower Delivery, in combination with my March "Oliver" Citrus Twist Kit, to bring this one to life.
I started this page by die-cutting all those flowers and leaves, from the Flower Delivery
cut file, from watercolor paper and watercoloring and splattering them
with the colors seen above and below. While they were drying, I stamped
three squares, in Coastal Cabana ink, on the textured, white,
cardstock, base page, to set the groundwork for my photos. I then
stamped some text, in Jet Black ink, over such and splattered everything
with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints. Each photo was then
matted with white cardstock and adhered over bits of pattered paper,
some of which were anchored with bright pink, aqua, and/or yellow
stitching respectively, as well as those previously die-cut and
watercolored blooms. A few smaller die-cut and watercolored blooms,
anchored with button centers, stitched with white string, and flanked
with stamped, in Garden Green ink, on white cardstock and hand-cut
leaves, embellish the photographs. Beginning with the left-side photo,
you'll also find a hand-cut, from a patterned print, flamingo, popped up
with foam tape, in its bottom left corner.
Its opposite bottom corner boasts a "JUST FOR FUN" wood chip...
and
a tag, laced with white string, tied in a bow, as well as a "be you"
die cut, anchored with a single staple, dresses up the its top.
Moving clockwise, you'll find another die-cut and watercolored bloom, prepared in the same way as above...
as
well as a couple of additional tags, laced with white string, tied in a
bow and knot respectively, and a "smile" die cut, secured in place with
another staple.
The
bottom right photograph was embellished with a "PLAY" wood chip;
hand-cut, from the same patterned print as the flamingo above,
"FLAMINGO" flag; and cut-apart label, stamped, in Jet Black ink, with
the word "CRUSH" and anchored with a couple more staples.
This photo, too, got its own die-cut, watercolored, stamped, and buttoned bloom...
before I adhered the "summer lovin" title, which was die-cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock using the Let's Talk Summer cut file, vertically, down the center of the page. It was grounded with a bright pink, puffy, "together" sticker...
and topped with a blue, butterfly die cut, as well as a "TOTALLY ORIGINAL" cork phrase.
A
sprinkling of blue sequins; duo of bright pink, puffy, floral stickers
that coordinate with the "together" phrase; and couple of phrase
stickers complete the look.
And here's a reminder of that April Sketch #305 to get you off and creating in the right direction.
